Articles: They’re Not Just for Publishing Anymore…

You’re “done your time” authoring articles under someone else’s name for their new product. You’ve taken those pet vet directories about as far as they will go on your writing talents alone. You want more than page rank; you want your articles monetized.

Have you ever asked someone else, “How many ways can content be monetized?”Approach the challenge no differently than if you were trying to monetize video, scripts or images that you created. For starters, look at your articles purely as content; nothing else. Don’t attach other uses to your articles or you will diminish their worth and give away all of your leverage if you find yourself in a position negotiating a price. As always, it’s about the content. Short, sweet and to the point reports.

Now let’s ponder a few points for making money out of articles.

Much like an e-book, PLR articles can be sold many times over. Because of their digital and therefore downloadable quality, PLR articles can deliver an exceptional return on investment. One idea is to package sets of similar themes with enough content that you could offer a monthly subscription service. If the market rate for PLR memberships currently averages 29.99 a month, You have a ton of content. Start a membership. For under a hundred bucks, members get uinique, original articles, timely reports, e-courses and auto-responder series. To reach $1500 a month, you would need only 50 people to sign-up plus any upsell or cross sells. By further narrowing the niches and topics that you write about, you could easily have two or three “Niche PLR Memberships” going at the same time. How does $29.99 x 500 sound?

Its Author, Writer, Salesperson whether they want it or not. No different than marketing online. Everybody sells. By making you content the focus of attention, you provide a commonality that people will become attached to. Since you’re the expert, forget about low-hanging fruit. Write about some expensive products.” We are far more likely to make a purchase from an expert or an authority than we are from an affiliate we’ve never met. Break articles up into auto-responder courses, tip of the day mailers or mini-reports. An auto-responder is perfect because it’s your words that provide the common bond, not your personality. Every time you send out a tip of the day, another part of an e-course or a mini-report you have the opportunity to introduce complimentary products and services such as article spinners, article directory memberships or an article submission service. A top sponsor ad and a PS ad on every tip of the day you send out equals 760 advertisements per year, per person! In addition, there’s a side benefit. You will be solidifying and growing your list, without spending any additional money or time.

You write, so your an author. You’re broke, so your available. Depending on the situation, ghostwriters can make a substantial amount of money, especially if the project involves a product launch. And while there may be a penalty for having duplicate content on a web site or blog, there is no penalty at all for putting together everything you created during a six-month period and offering it as a limited edition, limited quantity, “Best of” package. Articles, reports, tips, stories; everything ever committed to paper, each and every month. As you’ve developed your following and earned a reputation as an authority and an expert, a “Best of” package would be a very big, and very lucrative, experience. Just consider that the difference between a good launch and a not-so-good one wil be many thousands of dollars. You will need help and support with your Internet Marketing campaign. JV Partners, affiliates, and a solid plan to make sure you succeed.

When it comes to monetizing content, this would truly be the icing on the cake. That’s just fine. 1000 sales times $97 is a lot of money. Its almost 100,000 dollars each can buy a whole lot of icing.
