The Science and Systems Engineering Solutions Business Unit currently has contingent openings for technical writers and technical editors. This position supports the Federal Aviation Administrations SE2020 Program. These positions will provide research and write professional documents, including program reports and procedures, documentation, and training materials. The Technical Writer/Editor will also edit professional documents for content, format, flow, and integrity in conformance with best practices. The Technical Writer/Editor will determine the suitability of material for the target audience and will be involved in projects from the planning stage through completion.
A bachelors degree in English, communications, technical writing or technology management, or related/relevant discipline. A Bachelors Degree in any field and 7 years experience in technical editing/writing can substitute for a the required degree field. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in technical editing or writing. This position requires successful completion of a government background check before commencement of employment. If you are not a United States Citizen this check could take 12 to 18 months to complete.
