The Department of English at West Virginia University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible teaching faculty position (non-tenure-track) in technical and business / professional writing. Teaching faculty at WVU hold renewable term appointments and are eligible for promotion if they hold a terminal degree; however, promotion to senior ranks is not required for institutional commitment and career stability in these appointments. The position begins August 16, 2010.
Applicants must have a master’s degree or higher in English or a related field; substantial experience teaching writing at the college level; ability to teach with technology; and demonstrated teaching excellence. We especially welcome candidates who also possess substantial experience teaching technical writing and/or experience as a technical writer or editor.
