Adobe FrameMaker 9 Default Document Templates

Adobe FrameMaker 9 comes with a set of built-in default document templates. Here is how you can browse them:
1) Launch your FrameMaker 9. The Starter screen offers you a few default templates to choose from:

2) Click Letter to display the letter template:

You can edit this template by inserting your own information and content and then save it under any name you like.

Another Way

The beauty of all Adobe products is that they always offer you more than one ways to accomplish the same thing. “Different strokes for different folks,” as they say in American English 🙂
Here is another way of displaying the templates once you are inside the FrameMaker:
1) Select File > New > Document from the menu to display the New dialog box:

2) Click Explore Standard Templates button to display the Standard Templates screen:

3) Select Letter under the Business group of templates and then click the Create button to display a blank Letter document created from this template:

4) Edit this new document by inserting your own information and content and then save it under any name you like.

Other Templates

Explore all the other FM9 templates by selecting and displaying them. These are rather basic and plain templates but they’re still something.
From MY WISH LIST: It would really be great if FrameMaker 10 offered some well-designed world-class document templates that we’d all be proud of using. The Adobe team can certainly follow Microsoft Word 2010’s lead in this regard. See MS Word 2010 Templates
