Hi Ugur,

Great to know you have dabbled in so many forms! It's always a great personal joy to know how prolific someone I know has been! And you know what - this great joy always wells up in my eyes for a few seconds after I hear of their achievement. It's a great feeling, I can tell.

I haven't done so many forms, but among those you have mentioned I am interested in a few! I have been selective about the forms I have myself tinkered with. The point I'd like to make here is that the tinkering is in itself such a great joy - a nameless joy of the unknown (!) - that little else matters.

I have also spent a great deal of my time just standing back and admiring the work of some the greatest writers the world over. 'Literature' - with the capital L - seems to me a category that includes only the very best of writing for easy reference and reliability!

:D

When you reap the fruits of your own labor, no matter how humble they are, they are truly the sweetest. I once heard this cheeky saying while I was coming into my own as a writer: Stolen fruits taste the sweetest! Sure, that may well be so, but only because the stealing took some doing and because the thief is himself acknowledging that he stole them!

Though, unfortunately, I am unable to extend the same love to anyone who steals content. That’s something of a nuisance to me.

But I especially love writers who are constantly up to something creative, constructive! And I enjoy writing as if all my beloved friends, in-laws, and acquaintances are definitely going to read it - though I am aware at the back of my mind that they probably will not. Just hoping that they will, some day, and think of a dear, little, humble soul who felt endeared to them ... and that they will also perhaps feel that same, great joy welling up within them, as it does in me now ... well, just hoping!

Please excuse the sentimental bit!

You have a lovely little post here. It teaches me what magnificent content is possible even if you are just marketing your newsletter. Thank you for this precious lesson! I have no doubts that your new newsletter will be a grand success, having started so beautifully.

It's a given that I will be subscribing.

Do make the most of both the decades you have left in you. Take care.
