Writing is also about finding joy and contentment in this life. I continue to believe that, when used correctly, writing can actually become a wonderful tool, a great platform, to catapult us to our next level of human potential. It can help us make our peace with who we are and what we’re doing on this planet. It can become a forceful channel to elevate others too through better communication and true sharing.
With such sentiments in mind, I’ve been exploring the connections between writing and what I in general call “success” for a while. For the last year I’ve done a lot of reading and practice in the human potential arena. For years I’ve shared with you all I know about writing techniques and specific application tips and tutorials. And I’ll continue to do so in the years ahead. But I also believe it’s time for me now to share with you all I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about the way writing relates to our lives on a much wider landscape.
So for that purpose, I’ve created my first ever video clip as an introduction to this new venue. The video is intended specifically for those who have subscribed to my new “Writing for Success!” newsletter (see the sidebar). But I thought it might be good to share it here as well to introduce myself in a more direct and personal manner. Many of you have known me for years through our written exchanges. Now we can continue our conversation on an even more personal level.
I’m intending to post these videos regularly to explore various aspects of the paths that lead to success and contentment through our noble craft, writing. Please feel free to let me know what you think through email and comment section.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Respectfully, Ugur

Dear Ugur,
I cannot describe how glad I am for you!
That you have set yourself to exploring the video channel to spread your message brings pristine joy to me!
The Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore, is known to have taken similar joy in the success of the ‘other’. Now how difficult can that possibly be? Not at all, if you have your head firmly on your shoulder. That reminds me of a great poem by Rudyard Kipling, titled ‘If’.
I find myself so warmly in agreement with what you say about the joy of writing. According to one writer of distinction, “Writing is a social act performed in isolation.”
I always found writing to be the MOST profound means of self expression. Or maybe that’s just me since I have always been a student of Literature.
But your foray into video is very welcome indeed, as is the topic that you have chosen for your video series. Awesome!
When I was at the university, I would often hear about “extra-mural” disciplines and interdisciplinary studies … all of which excited me no end because I have always retained firm faith in the value of such inter-action.
Now you know how exactly I happen to be excited at the prospect of your video series!
Heartiest congratulations! Bring ‘em on!
Dear Nikhil, you are so kind and generous in your praise. I appreciate your support. We are here on this earth to help others by realizing our noblest dreams. That’s what I sincerely believe in. Ugur
